World Master — Privacy Policy
1. Summary
World Master is a geography-learning app. You can use it fully without an account — in that mode your data stays on your device. If you create an optional account, we use Google Firebase to sign you in and to store a backup of your learning progress. Optional World Master Plus is sold through Google Play Billing. World Master v1.0 contains no advertisements and no advertising SDK.
2. Who we are
World Master is developed and operated by Enea Xhengo. Questions: worldmaster.support@gmail.com.
3. Data we process, and why
Used only on your device (not sent to us): learning progress (memory, mastery, passport stamps, streak, activity, Deep Explorer reading); profile display name and passport personalization; your optional passport photo (stored privately and never uploaded); purchase / entitlement state.
Processed by Google Firebase when you use an optional account: your email and password (Firebase Authentication — we never store your password); your display name; and, only when you choose to back up, a cloud copy of your learning data (Cloud Firestore) plus a Firebase user identifier.
Purchases: World Master Plus is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive an entitlement signal from Google Play; we do not receive or store your card or payment details.
Advertising (none in v1.0): World Master v1.0 shows no advertisements and includes no advertising SDK; the app requests no ads, accesses no advertising identifier, and its permissions include no Advertising ID / Ad Services permissions. Ads may be introduced in a later version (v1.1); if so, this policy will be updated before ads are shown. World Master Plus is always advertisement-free.
Not collected: we do not use location, the camera (the photo is chosen via the system photo picker), contacts, or the microphone, and there is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK and no user-to-user content in the current build.
4. Where your data is stored
On your device, and — if you use an account — in Google Firebase. Our production
Cloud Firestore database is hosted in Google's European multi-region (eur3)
— a multi-region location spanning data centres within Europe, not a single European country.
Google processes this data as our processor.
5. Retention
- Active cloud data — local data persists until you delete it or uninstall; cloud data persists until you delete your cloud backup or account; cloud activity history is bounded to the most recent records. Deleting your account or backup removes the corresponding records from our active Firebase (Cloud Firestore) data.
- Legally required retention — any period we are legally required to retain: RELEASE_INPUT_REQUIRED (legal review).
- Provider backups — Google may retain its own operational/technical backups under Google's terms; we do not currently operate or document a separate backup-retention schedule: RELEASE_INPUT_REQUIRED (technical review).
6. How to delete your data
- Delete local learning data — clears this device's learning progress; account, cloud backup, name, personalization/photo and purchase remain.
- Delete cloud backup — removes your cloud learning backup (server-verified); account and local data remain.
- Delete account and all data — permanently deletes your Firebase account, cloud learning data, and this account's learning + personal data (including the passport photo) on this device.
You can also request deletion without the app on our account-deletion page or by emailing worldmaster.support@gmail.com. Timing: deletion initiated inside the app begins immediately after final confirmation; requests submitted by email are completed within 30 calendar days after account ownership has been verified. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — manage subscriptions in Google Play.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the providers needed for the features you use: Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Google Play Billing). v1.0 uses no advertising network. No other third parties.
8. Children
World Master v1.0 is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed specifically at children under 13. We do not claim Google Play Families or any children's certification. Targeting children under 13 in a future release would require a separate Families, parental-consent, data-handling and advertising review. Consistent with the Play Console target-audience declaration; no COPPA/GDPR-K claims without legal review.
9. Security
We rely on Google Firebase's authentication and Cloud Firestore security rules (owner-only access). No transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We make no specific encryption guarantees beyond Google's unless independently verified: RELEASE_INPUT_REQUIRED.
10. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Use the in-app controls (§6) or contact worldmaster.support@gmail.com. Full wording: RELEASE_INPUT_REQUIRED (legal review).
11. Changes
We will post changes here with an updated effective date.
12. Jurisdiction / legal review
Governing law, controller identity, and jurisdiction-specific wording: RELEASE_INPUT_REQUIRED (legal review before publication).
